Disease Fact Sheets
Our fact sheets provide a brief overview of common diseases and other zoonotic risks to wildlife. These printable resources offer information on risks to wildlife, including disease transmission, clinical signs, diagnostic methods, treatment potential, precautions, and preventive measures.
Reports
Our program reports provide summary statistics on health and disease surveillance, along with details about current efforts, case highlights, outreach initiatives, news highlights, alerts, publications, and more. These reports are shared openly to keep stakeholders informed about how New York State protects and supports sustainable wildlife populations, while also providing templates for other agencies to deploy and grow programs in their own jurisdictions.
Technical Documents
Safety first! WHP technical documents are designed to serve as reference guides or ready-to-use resources for wildlife professionals. They include field bio-safety protocols for biologists, equipment, and quick reference guides on Personal Protective Equipment for safety and preventing spillover.
